Saturdays at the Randall Museum.

The backpacking trip to the Sierras, run by the California Academy of Sciences.

All the things happening at the Exploratorium.

Mad Science

Summer Reading Club, operated by SF Public Library, has some great prizes. Sign up at your local branch soon (prizes happen starting June 21st).

Don't miss two new books by Alma Powell (that's Mrs. Colin Powell) My Little Wagon and America's Promise.

Also, Comic Books are better than ever! See:

The Cross Generational Bridges Program MileHigh Comics ... and ... The New York City Comic Book Museum

Especially for girls, check the Main Teen Collection at the Library, or your local vendor, for GoGirl and Powerpuff Girls.

Especially for Middle-Schoolers: keep your brain limber over the summer. Keep a Summer Journal. Then try out some simple and fun math with Beginning Algebra Tutorial on Basic Geometry at West Texas Virtual Math Lab.

Do some puzzles. They're fun. Don't miss StudyBuddy's Brain-Boosters starting July 15th 10:30-11:30 at San Bruno City Park. Call San Bruno Recreation Services, 650-583-2545. Walk-in registration happens Monday through Friday 8:30-8:30, Saturday & Sunday 9:30-4:30. The park is at Crystal Springs and Oak Avenues in San Bruno.

Then for the whole family:

Don't forget Stern Grove, there for free, on Sunday afternoons. If you get there around one o'clock and bring a picnic, you'll find a place to settle in. What's happening there is listed at http://www.sfstation.com/city_events/sterngrove03.htm
