Special Ed families who attended the August meeting of the Community Advisory Committee heard Diana Blackmon speak of the contract between the California Department of Education and Educational Testing Service to provide an alternative, for profoundly disabled kids, to Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR). CAPA has been delivered and the timeline is as follows:

October 21-November 1, 2002: Field Test. November-December 2002: CDE to review feedback from CAPA Field Testing November-December 2002: ETS to finalize CAPA Training Modules January 2, 2003: ETS to distribute CAPA Training Modules January-February 2003: CAPA Training through Regional Coordinating Councils March 17-April 25, 2003: CDE to administer CAPA Statewide
