Discovery Communications’ science channel will use two hours of its afternoon schedule for commercial-free programs for middle-schoolers.

Sesame Street will focus on science programs for the next two years.

The MacArthur Foundation is giving out a series of prizes for kids’science videos.

And Time-Warner cable will set up a website directory searchable for local science activities: see www.connectamillionminds.com.
